Fatality Reported in Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Accident

A man has died following an early morning accident in Flat Lick on Tuesday.

At approximately 2:02 am on Tuesday, September 1st, the Knox County Sheriff's Office responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident at the Highway 25E/KY 3085 intersection in Flat Lick near Bella Food and Fuel, formerly Wildcat Truck Stop.

Once on scene, deputies discovered that the male pedestrian had succumbed to his injuries sustained in the collision. He was declared deceased on scene.

Sgt. Jesse Smith is in charge of the investigation. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office will release more information after the investigation has concluded.

Also responding were the Knox County Coroner's Office and Knox County EMS.

Assisting in the investigation were Barbourville Officers Colby Patterson and Brice Bays.
