The Dr. Thomas Walker Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) proudly recognized the Knox County Public Library in celebration of Library Lovers Month. As part of this observance, chapter members presented the library with an assortment of snacks for the staff and patriotic bookmarks, each printed with the Preamble to the United States Constitution, for library patrons.
This gesture reflects the chapter’s appreciation for the vital role that public libraries play in strengthening communities. Local libraries serve as centers of learning, connection, and opportunity, offering resources that enrich the lives of individuals and families across Knox County.
“Library Lovers Month is the perfect time to express our gratitude,” Chapter Regent Greenwood shared. “Our public library is an essential part of the community, and we are thankful for the staff who work every day to make knowledge accessible to all.”
The Dr. Thomas Walker Chapter DAR remains committed to promoting education, historic preservation, and patriotism throughout the region.
