The Knox County Grand Jury returned indictments on Friday, April 24, 2026. The following list of indictments is followed by an extensive list of cases continued to the next month, as well as dismissed cases. Please note - an indictment is a formal accusation charging an individual with a crime, and should not be confused for a conviction of said crime.
Indictments:
Shawn Tigue, 45, Flat Lick, Ky.: Two counts of fleeing or evading the police in the first degree; one count of wanton endangerment; one count of criminal mischief in the first degree; one count of strangulation second degree; three counts of assault in the fourth degree; one count of reckless driving; one count of persistent felony offender in the first degree relating to two Bell County convictions: 2-25-2025 – Murder, 23 years, Burglary, First Degree, 20 years (03-CR-082); Burglary, Third Degree, 5 years, 08-11-1999 (99-CR-028).
Robert Earl Mayfield, 48, Lily, Ky.: One count of theft by unlawful taking of the value of $1,000 or more but less than $10,000; one count of arson in the second degree; one count of burglary in the third degree; one count of theft by unlawful taking of the value of $1,000 or more but less than $10,000; one count of engaging in organized crime and arson in the second degree, burglary third degree and theft by unlawful taking of the value of $1,000 or more but less than $10,000.
Clovis Ashley Mayfield, 50, Corbin, Ky.: Two counts of arson in the second degree; one count of burglary in the third degree; one count of theft by unlawful taking of the value of $1,000 or more but less than $10,000; one count of engaging in organized crime and arson in the second degree, burglary third degree and theft by unlawful taking of the value of $1,000 or more but less than $10,000; one count of persistent felony offender relating to two Laurel County convictions: 07-26-2021 Possession of a Controlled Substance, First Degree, and 02-27-2012 Manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense.
Jeffery Dewayne Campbell, 53: One count of arson in the second degree; one count of burglary in the third degree; one count of theft by unlawful taking of the value of $1,000 or more but less than $10,000; one count of engaging in organized crime and arson in the second degree, burglary third degree and theft by unlawful taking of the value of $1,000 or more but less than $10,000; one count of persistent felony offender relating to two Laurel County convictions: 03-17-2021, failure to comply with sex offender registration, and 09-22-2014 Manufacturing Methamphetamine, second degree.
Jesse Ray Garland, 45, Gray, Ky.: One count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense.
Marc F. Henderson, 53, Barbourville, Ky.: One count of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree; one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Joshua Warren, 32, Gray, Ky.: One count of assault in the fourth degree; one count of terroristic threatening in the third degree; one count of unlawful imprisonment in the second degree.
Steven Isiah Roark, 42, Bimble, Ky.: One count of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree; one count of possession of a controlled substance in the third degree; one count of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants, third offense.
Joshua Dallas Hart, 41, Corbin, Ky.: One count of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, relating to two Whitley County convictions: 4-30-2024 receiving stolen property $1,000 or more but less than $10,000 and 03-29-2017 escape, second degree.
