Knox Grand Jury returns Feb. ‘26 indictments

The Knox County Grand Jury returned the following indictments for February 2026:

• Anthony Mills, 28: Burglary in the second degree; Theft by unlawful taking of the value of $10,000 or more but less than $1,000,000; Criminal mischief in the first degree
• Christopher Stoots, 45: Burglary in the second degree; Theft by unlawful taking of the value of $10,000 or more but less than $1,000,000; Criminal mischief in the first degree
• Franklin Sizemore, 59: Burglary in the second degree; Theft by unlawful taking of the value of $10,000 or more but less than $1,000,000
• Preston Messer, 44: Rape in the first degree; Sexual abuse in the first degree; Persistent felony offender in the first degree
• Shawn Asher, 37: Assault in the fourth degree
• Marcia Keith/Drury, 47: Possession of a controlled substance in the first degree; Illegal possession of a legend drug in the first offense; Possession of a controlled substance in the third degree; Possession of a controlled, Clonazepam, in an improper container, first offense
• Deborah Shleton, 67: Two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense; Possession of drug paraphernalia; Failure to signal; Failure to produce insurance card; Failure to maintain automobile insurance
• Cari Shelton, 40: Two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense; Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Christopher Engle, 43: Fleeing or evading the police in the first degree; Driving a motor vehicle while license is revoked or suspended; Reckless driving; Operating a motorcycle without an operator’s license; Persistent felony offender in the first degree
• Jason Jones, 46: Two counts of theft by unlawful taking of the value of $1,000 or more but less than $10,000; Possession of drug paraphernalia; Giving a police officer false identifying information; Persistent felony offender in the first degree
• Tammy Johnson, 53: Possession of a controlled substance in the first degree; Possession of a controlled substance in the third degree
• Leon Johnson, 70: Possession of a controlled substance in the first degree; Possession of a controlled substance in the third degree; Failure to signal
• Joshua Hart, 41: Trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense; Persistent felony offender in the first degree
• Robert Williams, 41: Trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense; Fleeing or evading the police in the first degree; Trafficking in a controlled substance in the third degree, first offense; Trafficking in Marijuana of less than 8 ounces first offense; Possession of drug paraphernalia; Resisting arrest; Failure to have two head lamps
