Knox Grand Jury Returns Oct. 2025 Indictments

The Knox County Grand Jury returned the following indictments on Friday, October 24, 2025:

• Jeff Gray, Flat Lick, Ky.: One count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon for a January 28, 2018 conviction for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, First Degree, First Offense.
• Jeff Gray, Flat Lick, Ky.: One count of Wanton Endangerment in the First Degree; one count of Persistent Felony Offender in the Second Degree for a January 28, 2018 conviction for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, First Degree.
• Steven Coleman, Flat Lick, Ky.: One count of Criminal Mischief in the First Degree.
• Steven Michael Brooks, aka Michael S. Brooks, Richmond, Ky.: One count of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Fourth offense (3 prior offenses in Madison County from 2021); one count of Driving a Motor Vehicle While License is Revoked or Suspended; one count of No Registration Plates.
• Justin Adams Francis, Lily, Ky.: One count of Receiving Stolen Property of the Value of $1,000 or More, But Less than $10,000; one count of Possession of a Defaced Firearm; one count of Resisting Arrest.
• Jason Scott Swearengin, Cannon, Ky.: One count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon for a felony conviction for Conspiracy to Manufacturing Methamphetamine, First Offense and Tampering with Physical Evidence on November 22, 2011; one count of Persistent Felony Offender in the First Degree for three prior convictions in 2018 and 2021.
• Vicki Marie Rose, Corbin, Ky.: Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, referring to a April 7, 2021 conviction for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, First Degree, First Offense; one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon for the same prior offense.
• Vicki Marie Rose, Corbin, Ky.: One count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, Second Offense (convicted for first offense April 7, 2021); one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance Within 1000 Feet of a School; one count of Wanton Endangerment in the First Degree; one count of Cultivating Marijuana Less than 5 Plants, First Offense; and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
• George Daniel Jesse Jr., Corbin, Ky. & Ashley R. Engle, Corbin, Ky.: Two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense (George Jesse Jr.); one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense (George Jesse Jr. and Ashley Engle); one count of Tampering with Physical Evidence (Ashley Engle); two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor (George Jesse Jr. and Ashley Engle); one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (George Jesse Jr. and Ashley Engle); one count of Driving a Motor Vehicle While License is Revoked or Suspended (George Jesse Jr.); one count of Possession of Marijuana (George Jesse Jr. and Ashley Engle).
• Michael Todd Goff, Corbin, Ky.: One count of Possession of Burglar’s Tools; one count of Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree; one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking of the Value of $500 or Less.
