The Dr. Thomas Walker Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) was proudly represented at the Kentucky DAR Fall Board of Management held on Saturday, October 18, in Paris, Kentucky. Regent Claudia Greenwood and chapter member Sheila Halter attended the event, which brought together DAR leaders from across the state to collaborate, plan, and celebrate service.
Claudia Greenwood, who also serves as the Kentucky State Chaplain, played a special role in the proceedings by leading the installation ceremony for the newly appointed DAR District Directors. Her thoughtful words and ceremonial guidance added a meaningful and memorable touch to the occasion.
Following the luncheon, a reception was held at the historic Duncan Tavern to honor State Regent Julia Hood. The gathering provided a warm and elegant setting for members to express their appreciation for Hood’s leadership and dedication to the DAR’s mission of promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism.
The Dr. Thomas Walker Chapter continues to be an active force in the community, participating in events and initiatives that celebrate Kentucky’s rich heritage and the enduring legacy of America’s founding ideals.
