Darvin Fox, 54, passed away on October 9, 2026, leaving behind a family and countless friends who will forever cherish the memories, laughter, and love he brought into their lives.
Darvin was a one-of-a-kind person with a big heart, a generous spirit, and a sense of humor that could brighten any room. He was caring, loyal, and always willing to be there for the people he loved. To know Darvin was to love him, and to many, he wasn’t just a friend—he was everyone’s best friend. He had a special way of making people feel welcome, valued, and cared for, and his presence made every gathering a little brighter.
Family meant everything to Darvin. He loved family gatherings, sharing stories, laughing with loved ones, listening to music, and simply being surrounded by the people who mattered most. Everyone knew that when Darvin was around and the “rooster crowed,” a good time was sure to be had.
He loved being with family and friends, but he was often the first one ready to call it a night and get to bed. That was just Darvin, and those who loved him will forever smile remembering that familiar part of his personality.
Darvin was one-fourth of the Four Little Ones, a special bond made up of three brothers and one sister. Together, they shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love. Now, Darvin has joined two of his brothers in Heaven, and we can only imagine the reunion taking place. Though their time together on Earth has ended, their bond will never be broken.
Music was another of Darvin’s great loves. Whether he was enjoying his favorite songs or playing his guitar, music was a part of who he was. He also enjoyed horseback riding and had a passion for Kentucky Wildcats basketball; he was a devoted Kentucky fan. Above all, Darvin will be remembered for his loyalty, kindness, generosity, and the love he gave so freely. He was the kind of person who made lasting friendships and left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His laughter, his stories, his love of music, and the memories made around the family table will be treasured for years to come.
Darvin was preceded in death by his parents, Willard James Fox and Bonnie Jean Fox, and four brothers: Murrell Gene Fox, Marvin Ray Fox, Michael Robin Fox, and William Bruce Fox.
He is survived by his two brothers: Gerald Fox and his wife, Shelly Fox, of Corbin, Kentucky, and Doyle Fox of Corbin, Kentucky; and his three sisters: Chris Garvin and her husband, Charlie Garvin, of Georgetown, Kentucky, Lisa Keith Martin and her husband, Bob Martin, of Corbin, Kentucky, and Tammy Gales and her husband, Tim Gales, of Lexington, Kentucky. He also leaves behind a special cousin who was like a brother, Eugene “Hot Rod” Mitchell and wife Janice Mitchell, and several beloved nieces and nephews who absolutely adored him and will forever hold a special place in their hearts for their uncle.
Though Darvin’s time here was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on through the people whose lives he touched. His family and friends will miss his laughter, his stories, his music, and the simple joy of having him near.
