Obituary - David Dean King
Mr. David Dean King, 66, of Flat Lick, passed away Monday afternoon, April 1, 2024 at his home. He was the son of Edgar Allen King and the late Erma Gibson King born on August 8, 1957 in Dayton, OH.
David was a former coal miner, a maintenance employee of the Knox County Public Schools and a member of the Turkey Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, coaching Knox County Little
Leagues and traveling with his high school friends. He most treasured time spent with his family and grandchildren.
On June 26, 1976, he united in marriage with Pamela Sue Williams and to this union two sons were born.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Sandra Baker King.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 47 years, Pamela King; his father, Edgar Allen King; two dearly loved sons, Jeremy David King and wife, Sabrina, and Justin Tyler King and wife, Samarah; a brother, Douglas Allen King and wife, Jean; treasured grandchildren, Logan Jeremiah King, Lydia Kate King, Hayden James King and Kyson Dean King; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted at the Turkey Creek Baptist Church Saturday, April 6 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Dale Phipps, Rev. John Ditty and Andrew Ditty officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Binghamtown Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Gerald Poff, Larry McKeehan, Larry Warfield, Rex Patterson, Frankie Gibson, Leo Williams, Andrew Ditty, Lakin King and Logan King. Serving as honorary bearers will be Chuck Stovall, Tommy Scalf and Chris McVey.
Friends may call at the church Friday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Saturday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
