Barbourville native among new WKU Student Alumni Ambassadors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Western Kentucky University’s Student Alumni Ambassadors (SAA) recently welcomed 19 new members out of an initial applicant pool of 164, bringing the membership total to 40 for fall 2023.

“The WKU Student Alumni Ambassadors are the official student representatives of the WKU Alumni Association,” explained Zach Marcum (’18), Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement and WKU Student Alumni Ambassador Advisor. “These Hilltoppers are the primary bridge between alumni and the student experience. Each has unique abilities that help SAA meet their mission: to maximize student to alumni connection through education, engagement and demonstrable impact.”

The following students are new members of the SAA for the 2023-2024 academic year:

Sara Alblooshi of Bowling Green, Ky., is graduate student studying Business Administration and Environmental & Occupational Health.

Halee Brugge of Clarksville, Tenn., is a senior studying Elementary Education.

Alyssa Burrough of Rumsey, Ky., is a senior majoring in Biology.

Rachel Chrisman of Lexington, Ky., is a junior pursuing a degree in Health Sciences.

Connor Flatt of Hendersonville, Tenn., is a senior studying Economics.

Mikiya Fogle of Glasgow, Ky., is a sophomore majoring in Legal Studies.

Alex Green of White House, Tenn., is a senior pursuing a degree in Biology.

Katie Haley of Louisville, Ky., is a senior majoring in Psychology.

Abigail Hayes of Louisville, Ky., is a sophomore studying Health Sciences.

Lauren Howe of Owensboro, Ky., is a junior pursuing a degree in Photojournalism.

Reise Leahy of Georgetown, Ky., is a junior majoring in Legal Studies.

Alivia Lewis of Owensboro, Ky., is a junior studying Psychological Sciences.

Emma McGuffey of Bowling Green, Ky., is a junior majoring in Biology.

Thomas Pabin of Lexington, Ky., is a junior pursuing a degree in Sports Management.

Lilly Pottlitzer of Louisville, Ky., is a junior studying Child and Family Services.

Donte Reed of Barbourville, Ky., is a senior majoring in Biology.

Ella Schleuning of Louisville, Ky., is a senior pursuing a degree in Psychology.

Sam Seadler of Spring Hill, Tenn., is a junior studying Exercise Science.

Sheila Vo of Bowling Green, Ky., is a junior majoring in Communication Disorders.

Marcum said the new class of Student Alumni Ambassadors is already hard at work welcoming students to the Hill, volunteering at Discover WKU events and offering tours of campus to any interested alumni.
