Knox Board presents scholarships during June meeting
June 24, 2024
Knox County students received nearly $3,000 combined in scholarships during the June meeting of the Board of Education. Past families of school administrators had established trusts, the Class of 1950s alumni had established a scholarship, and newest is a scholarship funded by members of the Knox County Board of Education.
All scholarships are managed by the district’s finance office and sent directly to the student’s college or post-secondary institution.
Unable to attend was Mackena Sutherland, second recipient of the James H. Hampton scholarship.
A healthy Knox County requires great community news.
