Vivian was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She and Charles were blessed with four children who gave them much joy. Vivian was known as a hard worker who enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens and quilting. She was also an excellent cook with her biscuits, fruit cobblers and secret recipe coleslaw being among her family’s favorite dishes. For a short period of time, she worked outside the home at American Greetings, Inc. She was a member of Old Poplar Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her two oldest children: Charlene and Curtis; two grandsons, Craig and Will; two sons-in-law, Mark Davis and Charles Heath; her in-laws, Ballard and Fannie Ledford; and siblings Mae, Cleda, Colonel, Eva, Ida, Kelly and Clarence Ray.

Left to mourn her passing are two daughters: Tricia Davis of Richmond and Beverly (Pete) Evans of Cannon; grandsons Todd, Charles (Erica) and Joshua; great-grandchildren Jorah, Anthony, Ashley, Brooklyn, Brianna, Ashley, Kayla, and Gregory Todd; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She is also mourned by four sisters: Laura Agnes Stacy and Fern Ledford, both of Girdler; Beulah Marie Genslak of Michigan; and Jean Warring of Pennsylvania. She will also be missed by a host of friends, neighbors and other extended family.
