September 12, 2024
KCEOC Community Action Partnership, Inc. would like to thank Mission of Hope for their generous donation to the KCEOC Emergency Support Center.
Since 1996, the Mission of Hope has ministered to the people in Kentucky & Tennessee; they began their ministry as a way to support the communities where 80% of the region’s residents had lost their jobs in the coal mining industry. In their first year of operation they were able to assist 150 children, last year Mission of Hope was able to help over 17,000 children and their families by providing essential items, like food, hygiene supplies, and furniture.
Mission of Hope is a long-term supporter of KCEOC’s Emergency Support Shelter. On August 1, 2024, Mission of Hope donated $12,000.00 worth of goods, including multiple pallets of assorted foods, hygiene kits, household items, diapers, beds and bedding, and donated furniture. These items will be used to assist homeless children and families.
KCEOC Community Action Partnership Inc. Emergency Support Center (KESC) is a safe setting for adults and families experiencing homelessness to find relief. The support center has twenty-two beds and common areas. KESC has onsite case management that provides connections to community resources, employment services, life skills like budgeting and other supportive services to be able to successfully live independently after the shelter. Clients are assisted with obtaining permanent housing while getting back on their feet.
Mission of Hope’s donations will be used to give the clients of the Emergency Support Shelter a hand up as they begin their journey to independence.
