Recovery celebration ‘GITT’s’ massive turnout

Local entrepreneur and recovery advocate Adam Larkin hosted his third annual GITT Recovery Celebration on Saturday, September 21 to a massive turnout.

GITT Apparel is a clothing brand owned and operated by Larkin which raises awareness and advocates for addiction recovery.

The recovery celebration is an annual event hosted by GITT for the last three years and continues to grow.

The goal of the event, however,  is to not only celebrate addiction recovery but to inspire others to find their path to recovery, a mission Larkin is extremely passionate about as he himself is someone in recovery.

The mission is paying great dividends as this year’s event saw a turnout of over 2,200 people. “It was fantastic,” Larkin stated.

There were also some amazing giveaways at the event, including eighteen new pairs of shoes as well as a 50” big screen TV.

GITT also partnered with Domino’s Pizza to feed the crowd, something Larkin was very appreciative for.

“Domino’s is a great partner with GITT Apparel and recovery. They supplied food all night as well as donated their time and effort to feed the community.”

The event had music and guest speakers bringing their own personal stories to also inspire those in attendance.

The night was capped off with a beautiful lantern lighting ceremony to remember loved ones lost to addiction.

The work is far from over for Larkin however, who travels across the nation sharing his message of hope.
