Obituary - Francis Brown
Ms. Francis Jean Brown, age 71 of Scalf, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, October 7, 2024, peacefully at the home of her daughter. She was born on March 14, 1953 in Knox County, to the late Charlie and Cleo (Mills) Brown. Francis was a homemaker and was a faithful member of the Free Spirit House of Prayer Holiness Church. Her main focus in life was serving the Lord. You could always find Francis enjoying warm weather sitting on her porch and watching her flowers bloom or babysitting her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by seven brothers, William Brown, Hank Brown, Owens Brown, Victor Brown, Goble Brown, Ed Brown and Bearl Brown, four sisters, Loretta Benttin, Dora Price, Mary Brown and Pauline Brown and one sister-in-law, Lillie Brown.
Francis leaves behind one son, Goble Brown, three daughters, Lou Brown and husband Mike, Mary Bingham and husband Teddy all of Scalf, and Valina Lewis and husband Brandon of Bimble, seven grandchildren, Mikey Brown, Travis Brown, Hunter Brown, Brianna Francis Chasteen, Lexi Bingham, Braxton Lewis, Jaxon Jordan, five great-grandchildren, Kandace Brown, Karly Brown, Lincoln Brown, Leighton Brown, Cash Chasteen and special niece Dora Gambrel and nephews, Hank Brown and Randy Brown. She also leaves behind a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Francis will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mickie Smith and Rev. Steven Brown officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Brown’s Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
