‘Bells of Peace’ ceremony to be held at EBBC
East Barbourville Baptist Church will host its annual “Bells of Peace” ceremony on the morning of Monday, November 11 in honor of Veterans Day.
According to the Bells of Peace website, “The annual event marks a national day of remembrance which was initiated on November 11, 2018” to honor the World War 1 Armistice on its 100th anniversary.
The event has since become an annual remembrance with “tens of thousands having rung the Bells of Peace at 11:00 a.m. on Veterans Day.”
The ceremony serves to “salute all Americans who served their nation in both conflict and times of peace.”
East Barbourville Baptist Church would like to invite all veterans as well as those within the community to come out and participate in the event.
A healthy Knox County requires great community news.
