Obituary - Mary Payne

Mary Ashley Payne, age 64 of East Bernstadt, departed this life on Sunday, November 3, 2024 in the UK Hospice Care Center in Lexington. She was born on March 23, 1960, the daughter of the late Brandy and Pertie Smith.

      Left behind to mourn her passing, two sons, Kenneth Lawson and wife Amy and Scott Lawson, four grandchildren, Savannah, Kayleigh, Tucker and Kenzie, a special sister, Bonnie Hubbard, along with sisters, Abby Neil, Mattie Crawford and Betty Barnes, brothers, Tim Smith, Carl Smith, Charlie Smith and J. Bill Smith. She also leaves behind a host of many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

      Funeral services for Mary Payne will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Farmer Smith Cemetery on Horn Branch. Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

      Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
