Garden Club Christmas contest judging Dec. 12

The Barbourville Garden Club met at the Knox County Cooperative Extension room on November 14th, 2024. John and Jennifer Mills were the hosts. They presented a program on Paperwhites while the club had refreshments. Paperwhites are a type of narcissus that will bloom indoors. They have clusters of frosty white flowers that are intensely fragrant. Plant the bulbs in late fall or winter for flowers in 3 to 4 weeks. Planting a few bulbs each month will give you fresh flowers all winter long.  We want to invite all citizens of Barbourville to enter in the annual outdoor Christmas decorating contest. Please have your lights on by 7 pm on Thursday, December 12th for judging. The three categories are: business, church & home. Yard signs will be on display for the First & Second place winners in each category. Show the world our Christmas Spirit & let the decorating begin.
