Luttrell resigns as Bulldog's Head Football Coach

On Monday, January 27, Union Commonwealth University accepted the resignation of Head Football Coach John Luttrell. In the interim, Assistant Coach Boston Bryant will take on the role of leading the football program, ensuring continued support for our student-athletes. 

The University will begin a national search immediately to identify the next head football coach.

“Our focus is on finding the right leader to guide our football program, someone who embodies the values of Union Commonwealth University,” said Interim Executive Athletic Director Clay Butler. “We are confident we will identify a coach with a proven track record of building successful programs and preparing student-athletes for success on and off the field.”
