Lady Panthers advance to second round of regionals
Coming off just winning the 51st District championship, the Lady Panthers come in Monday night looking to keep the momentum going in the 13th Region tournament.
Knox Central would face a scrappy Harlan County team in the first round looking to get some momentum of their own.
The Lady Bears put up a fight in the first half, however, the Lady Panthers just proved to be too much to overcome in this one, pulling away for the win 70-41.
Shelbie Mills led the way for Knox Central with 28 points in the winning effort.
The Lady Panthers will next face the winner of South Laurel and Jackson County for their shot at the regional semi-finals.
The game will take place at the Corbin Arena on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
A healthy Knox County requires great community news.
