Panthers fall short in tournament opener
The Panthers entered the 13th Region tournament ready to put up a fight on the hardwood when they faced Harlan County.
The Black Bears entered the tournament as one of the favorites to win it all, however, Knox Central wasn't going to throw in the towel simply.
The Panthers kept themselves in the game throughout, scratching their way back every time Harlan County tried to pull ahead.
Even pulling within four points late in the third quarter.
However, in the end, the Black Bears would pull out a hard earned victory, surviving Knox Central with a final score of 61-49.
Leading the way for Knox Central was Grayson Burton who finished with 20 points in a strong and courageous effort.
A healthy Knox County requires great community news.
