The Lady Panthers came into Friday night's semi-final matchup against South Laurel ready to stake their claim on a 13th Region championship appearance and shot for a trip to the biggest dance in the Commonwealth.
Knox Central had a look of determination in their eyes, however, the Lady Cardinals came in with the same determination.
South Laurel started the game with all cylinders running, taking a stunning 17-3 lead at the end of the first quarter.
However, the Lady Panthers refused to go down without a fight, nearly getting the game back within single digits in the fourth quarter.
Unfortunately for Knox Central, in the end it would be The Lady Cardinals who would pull out the win with a final score of 52-42.
Despite the loss, the Lady Panthers put out a strong effort led by Halle Collins with 14 points on the night.
Shelbie Mills also had a solid night with 12 points.
Now Knox Central will regroup for another strong season in 2025-2026 where they will look to three-peat in the 51st district and earn another shot at the 13th Region championship.
