Central Elementary celebrates with 'Bash'!

by Larry Spicer, Reporter

Central Elementary School celebrated the upcoming school year with a Back to School Bash on Thursday evening, August 10.

Students along with their families came out eager and excited to meet their new teachers as well as get acquainted with their new classrooms.

However, parent/teacher meet and greets were only part of the activities available throughout the evening.

The school also offered pizza, sno-cones, and ice cream to their guests.
Kids were offered the opportunity to get a free haircut during their visit, all with an in-house DJ playing fun and lively music, creating an exciting atmosphere for the event.

Sign-ups for sports and extracurricular activities were available for students and many community organizations such as Union College, the Knox County Library, Roadside Baptist Church, Knox County EMTs and the Fire Department chipped in, handing out information and gifts for all who attended.

All and all, Central Elementary’s Back to School Bash had a very encouraging turnout to kick off what should be an eventful school year in 2023-2024.
