Homemakers listen to talk on self-care

At a recent Town and Country Homemaker’s meeting, Brenna Lawson, owner of Alchemy Aesthetics, delivered an inspiring talk on the importance of self-care. Drawing from her expertise in aesthetic wellness, Lawson emphasized that pampering oneself is not a luxury but a necessity, especially for women who often juggle multiple roles.
“You can’t pour from an empty cup,” Lawson reminded attendees, highlighting the idea that taking time for oneself enables women to better care for others. She shared practical tips on incorporating self-care into daily routines, such as establishing simple skincare rituals, setting aside moments for relaxation, and embracing practices that promote inner peace.
Lawson's approach resonated with many, as she underscored that self-care is an act of self-respect and empowerment. Her message served as a gentle reminder that nurturing oneself lays the foundation for a more balanced and fulfilling life.
The next Homemaker’s meeting will be pot-luck and will be held at the Knox County Extension Office on Thursday, June 12.
A healthy Knox County requires great community news.
