Jr. Woman’s Study Club represents at 2025 GFWC International Convention

The GFWC Kentucky Barbourville Junior Woman’s Study Club attended the 2025 GFWC International Convention in Atlanta from June sixth to ninth - “Spinning Vision into Reality!” They were seven out of a delegation of seventeen representatives from GFWC Kentucky.
Members were inspired by an outstanding lineup of speakers - renowned experts and thought leaders who discussed topics, such as health and wellness, literacy, and domestic and sexual violence.
The distinguished keynote speakers included: author Amy Peele; cardiologist, Dr. Benjamin Citrin; former US Surgeon General, Vice Admiral, Dr. Regina Benjamin; the President & CEO of the Women’s Suffrage National Monument Foundation, Anna Layman; a gender- based violence expert, Lynn Rosenthal and a dynamic teen volunteer, Mia Barrientos.
The ladies attended various workshops on leadership, communications, cyber security, etc. They had networking events, and galas to enjoy.
Members who attended the 2025 GFWC International Convention were: Ann Banfield, Chrissi Cuel, Sherri Hammons, Mandi Hearld, Anne Pedersen, Barb Smith, and Tracy Smith.
