Obituary - Robert Irvin Turtletaub

Mr. Robert Irvin Turtletaub, age 73 of Corbin, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 in the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. He was the son of Arnold Julius Turteltaub and Dorothy Fox Turteltaub born to them on July 26, 1951 in Manhattan, New York. On October 13, 2015, he united in marriage with Mary Helen Riddle Barnes and together they shared ten wonderful years together. 
Robert was a long-time member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and Awanas. He loved his church and all his brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Robert retired from Chrysler Corporation in Dayton, Ohio. His hobbies were racing radio-controlled cars and collecting slot cars.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Dorothy Turteltaub, one sister, Lynn Etta Heberlin, special friends, Paul Baker, Delmer Smith, David Greenwood, Harley Woolum and Don Polly.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his son, Robert Braxton Turteltaub and wife Whitney Faye, step-son, Mark Bradlee Barnes, step-daughters, Robin Elain Folkerth and husband Bob and Tammy Shawn Frasher and husband Chad, grandchildren, Zoie Hayden Turteltaub, Lydia Lux Joyce Barnes and Whitney Nicole Judy and husband Brad and nieces, Erin and Joslyn.
Funeral services for Mr. Robert Turteltaub will be conducted at the Locust Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Barnard and Ralph Halcomb officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Garrett Hinkle, Mark Siler, Mark Barnes, Charlie Sprinkles, Ronnie Abner and Chris Noel. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Hinkle, Harrison Davis and Brian Howard. Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Donations may be to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Robert’s Honor.
Friends will be received at the Locust Grove Baptist Church on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
