Obituary - Tammy Barnes Dennison
Mrs. Tammy Barnes Dennison, born October 18, 1960, passed away peacefully and entered the gates of Heaven at her home in Kansas City, Missouri on October 28, 2023. She was the oldest daughter of Nadine Abner Ledford who survives and the late Bobby Gene Barnes.
After retiring from a career as a nurse, Tammy was a homemaker and dedicated her life to caring for her two sons and four grandchildren along with her loving husband of 36 years, Dwayne. Her most cherished titles were Mom and Mamaw. She attended Antioch Bible Baptist Church.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Dwayne, and their two sons, Tyler Dennison and Kyle Dennison and wife, Ashleigh. She also leaves behind her four beloved grandchildren, Carlee Dennison, Alia Dennison, Jaxon Dennison and Zoey Dennison; three sisters, Jackie Crawford and husband, Chuck, Kelli Patricia Hubbard and husband, Mike, and Michelle Gorman and husband, Doug; brothers, Brett Ledford and wife, Nikki, and Dallas Barnes and wife, Elizabeth.
Tammy also will be missed by her brother-in-law, Chris Dennison and parents-in-law, Wendell and Dottie Dennison.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, November 5 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Vernon Morris and Rev. Johnny Fisher officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Fisher Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Travis Crawford, Austin Disney, Brett Ledford, Jonathan Hubbard, Shane Ledford, Devin Ledford, Kyle Dennison and Tyler Dennison
Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
