Obituary - Koral Garland
Mrs. Koral Lea Garland, 54, of Gray, passed away Friday evening, December 15, 2023 at Baptist Health Corbin. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Eugene and Ruby Turpin Hatton born on July 24, 1969 in Indianapolis, IN.
Koral was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She enjoyed arranging flowers, crafting and watching crime documentaries. She most loved spending time with her grandchildren.
On March 6, 1999, she united in marriage with Harold C. “Hank” Garland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ashton Garland and a brother-in-law, Mark Rickett.
Survivors include her loving husband, Hank Garland of Gray; three dearly loved children, Samantha Mills and husband, Michael, of Artemus, Mackenzie Gipson and husband, Lonnie, of Booneville and Shelbie Garland of Gray; a sister, Kelli Rickett of Booneville; a brother, Gene Hatton of Barbourville; six cherished grandchildren, Londyn Ryann Gipson, Bailey Grace Mills, Noah Grayson Mills, Lucas, Colton and Kassidy Brewer; two young men she loved as sons, Shane Gray and Jacob Brummett; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, December 22 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Garrett Garland officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
Contributions may be made at the funeral home to assist Koral’s family with funeral expenses.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
