SHOOTING - Man shot during alleged break-in at Bimble

At approximately 7:41 pm, Knox County 911 received a call of a shooting at a residence on Higgins Hollow Road in the Bimble community on Saturday evening, January 13. Knox County Deputies responded to the scene along with Knox County EMS.

Detective Jesse Smith has determined that a male individual was attempting to gain forcible entry into a residence when he was shot by an occupant of the home.

The individual sustained non-life threatening injuries and was flown to a hospital by PHI for treatment.

This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released once it is completed.

No arrests have been made as of this time.

Also assisting on scene were Kentucky State Police troopers.
