GITT Apparel will be hosting their second annual ‘Recovery Celebration’ on September 9 at the North Laurel High School football field.

GITT is a clothing company owned by founder and CEO Adam Larkin who also serves as Director of Community Outreach for New Hope Counseling and Recovery.

With September being recovery month, there is no better time to celebrate those who have defeated the stronghold of addiction, which is what this event is all about.

When speaking with the Mountain Advocate, Larkin shared, “This is to showcase the good things that come out of recovery and celebrate peoples sobriety and clean days.”

The celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will continue until 9:30 p.m.

There will be live music featuring Ethan Huff, food, games, vendors, as well as resource tables.

The event will showcase multiple guest speakers that will include Larkin himself as well as:

• David Norris of Free at Last Ministries out Bedford, In.

• Rob Handley, Editor and Chief of Recovery Today out of Sarasota, Fl.

• Corbin native Mike St. John, now out of Richmond, Ky, who hosts the St. John Live Podcast.

• Vanessa Keaton, who is the VP of Marketing for ARC (Addiction Recovery Care).

Many of the guest speakers, including Larkin, are themselves recovering addicts who understand the hard work and dedication of coming out of addiction.

With that, there will also be a Lantern Lighting Ceremony at nightfall in honor of all those in recovery of addiction.

Anyone with additional questions or seeking more information can call Adam Larkin at 859-803-2864.

Larkin’s hope is through the celebration of those in recovery, others will be inspired to take that significant step in their lives as well.

As Larkin likes to say, “GITT with the program, and don’t GITT left behind.”
