Mr. James Rutherford Jones, age 44 of Manchester was born in Manchester, KY on October 17, 1981 to Cecil and Ruth Ann Jones and departed this life on October 13, 2026 at his home. He was an outdoorsman, loved spending time with his children as often as possible, loved his mother Ruth and his partner Mary Truett. He had a special relationship with the Lord in the last year.
James was preceded in death by his first love: Amanda Bishop (Haley’s Mother); Kiana and Caydens Mother: Cecilia Mason; grandparents: Rutherford Buck and Ola Bowling, and Elige and Mary Lee Hinkle and Mary Francis Hinkle; and an uncle: George Smallwood.
James is survived by his loving parents: Cecil and Ruth Ann Jones; his partner: Mary Truett; children: Haley Bishop, Kiana Jones and spouse Betty Logan, Cayden Jones and wife Norma; a grandson: Colson Logan; a sister: Tanya Hiatt and husband Mark; a niece: Alicia Younts and husband Brent; 3 aunts: Merita Sizemore, Bonnie Riley and husband Terry, and Reva Walker; and a host of other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. James Rutherford Jones will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Manchester Chapel on Monday, October 19, 2026 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Anthony Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in the Hacker Fork Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends will be received in the Barbourville Funeral Home Manchester, KY on Monday from 12 Noon to the funeral hour at 2.
