Library gearing up for summer of fun and learning

by Larry Spicer, Reporter

School may be out for the summer, however, that does not mean that learning has to stop.

The Knox County Public Library crew is working hard to prepare for the kick off of their summer reading program.

The kickoff for ‘Adventure Begins at Your Library’ will take place on June 13 from 5:30 to 7:30.

There will be hot dogs, stories, games, a reptile museum and more.

Kids will also be visited by Smokey the Bear.

Prior to the kids event will be the kickoff for the ‘Adult Summer Reading’ program on June 11 from 5:30 to 7:30

For this event there will be e-readers, escape rooms, floral arrangements, soap making, painting and much more.

You must pre-register for these events so stop by the Knox County Public Library to reserve your spot.

You can call 606-546-5339 for more information.
