Barbourville, KY – The Town and Country Homemakers held their annual Christmas gathering recently, where they took a moment to recognize and show appreciation for the staff at the University of Kentucky Extension Office. The group presented monetary gifts to the staff for their continued support and assistance throughout the year.
Led by President DeRhonda Hubbs, the Town and Country Homemakers meet once a month on the third Thursday at noon, and all homemakers in the community are invited to join. The group is known for its active involvement in a wide range of community activities and projects, aimed at improving the lives of local residents.
The Christmas gathering also served as a celebration of the group’s dedication to making a positive impact on the community, and the gesture of appreciation to the UK Extension Office staff highlighted the collaborative efforts that help make their initiatives successful.
“We are grateful for the help and expertise provided by the University of Kentucky Extension Office, and this small token of appreciation is our way of saying thank you for all they do to support our group,” said Hubbs.
The Town and Country Homemakers look forward to another year of community service and fellowship, continuing their mission to serve and support the local area through various outreach programs.
